Perform and/or assist with the physical care of selected assigned patients; perform assigned procedures (e.g. dressing changes, taking vital signs, record care giv! en on designated forms)
Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge process as assigned; provide postmortem care; prepare patients for examinations/tests/procedures; participate in conferences held by nursing/health team which assess the needs of patients and plans nursing care; assists in recreational activities; observes the condition, mental state and social behavior of patients/SO and report observations to team members
Carries out infection control protocols; maintain universal precautions
Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding
Responds to patients’ call bells and requests
Provides direct care to patients in the follow age groups: Infant, Toddler, Preschooler, Young Adult and Geriatrics
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
1. Graduation from elementary school.
2. Successful completion of a basic skills training program for Nurse Aides, or its equivalent.
