We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Database Specialist. To qualify you must ! have a Bachelor's degree plus proven ability to lead complex p! rojects, working with professionals with a variety of skills and backgrounds with familiarity with clinical information, including diagnostic coding and clinical databases in addition to experience with and working knowledge of database management, clinical study design, quality performance measurement and quality improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for accomplishing the population, utilization, and maintenance of NYULMC's integrated clinical database for specific clinical areas designated by CQE and NYULMC senior management; collaborating with NYULMC Information Technology staff to assure that applicable interfaces with other pertinent interfaces are established and maintained; providing data entry for all pertinent elements; supervising other staff as appropriate; developing and carrying out data quality assessment routines, as needed prior to data submission, and in response to external data quality reports; assuring timely and accurate data submiss! ion to regulatory and external quality performance measurement registries; developing internal quality performance measures and regular reports, to support departmental and organizational quality improvement goals; plus all related job functions. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Master's degree or higher in pertinent field (nursing, information management, epidemiology, public health, or similar field) with clinical experience preferred.
