The Department of Nursing, has offered nationally accredited graduate and undergraduate programs since 1980 and presently has an opening for an Assistant/Associate Professor Clinical Track posit ion in Nursing beginning August 2018. An earned doctorate in nursing or related field is strongly preferred. Expertise in Undergraduate Nursing curricula and graduate Nursing Educationand/or Nursing Leadership is sought. Candidates must demonstrate the skills needed to support a quality student-centered teaching environment, currency in one's field through scholarship and the willingness to maintain the service commitments as required of SUNY Poly clinical faculty. Candidates must hold or be eligible for New York State Registration as a nurse.
SUNY Poly offers an RN to BS completion degree in Nursing and Master of Science degrees in Nurse Practitioner and an online program in Nursing Education. The Department is presently finalizing several new, innovative curricula and is in an exciting stage of its evolution; a revised MS in Nursing Leadership and a DNP program are part of the future vision of the Department. This clinical track position nursing faculty position wil l be primarily responsible for teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Course offerings in the nursing program are provided both on campus and online. Course development, academic advisement, scholarship and university service are also part of the faculty member's program of work.
Requirements:
An earned doctoral degree, from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization, is strongly preferred.
Positive teaching records
Positive research records and/or potential
Evidence of work experience in UG nursing curricula and nursing education (at MS level)
Evidence of leadership potential
