The Director of Perioperative Services will be direct the clinical and administrative functions supporting all operative services of the Medical Center to ensure that high quality, effective, patient care and surgical assistance are provided. Operative services are provided in the Operating Room, Ambulator! y Surgery Unit, Pre Surgical Testing, Endoscopy, Recovery and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (5 operating rooms). S/he will be directing the development of short term and long term goals and objectives for the department as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures and standards for all operative services and monitors for compliance. S/he will also be participating in the development of an effective leadership team of and professional staff. Will also direct the development of the operating budget and ensures compliance with hospital budgetary guidelines.
The successful candidate will need an Advanced Degree in health care related area including MastersDegree in Business Administration, Health CareAdministration or Nursing. NYS RN license and registration. Certificate in Operating Room Nurses (AORN). Previous management experience managing and directing Perioperative Services or similar department within a hospital setting.
