Clinical Advisor, Wound-Ostomy Nurse â" Staff Education (Catholic Health): The Clinical Advisor, Wound-Ostomy Nurse is a registered nurse who specializes in the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and/or continence disorders. Primary responsibilities are to direct, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in the area(s) of their expertise. Specific functions include consultation and education for patients and Catholic Health (CH) clinical staff. Supports nursing care management and collaborates with other multidisciplinary teams of health care providers to implement evidence based care, update clinical practice based on current research and changes in patient/ family needs. This nurse works collaboratively with the hospital nursing staff, the wound care center and other departments to promote a seamless transition of services. REPORTS TO:
Corporate Manager, Clinical Education with dotted line reporting to Physician Director of Wound Care Center and Vice Presidents of Patient Care Services
