Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehab
Responsible for the delivery of evidence-based patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; responsible and accountable for planning, delegating and coordinating the nursing care rendered to patients, including assessment, interdisciplinary planning, patient and family education and support and the appropriate assignment of patient care to staff while maintaining stan! dards of care.
Current New York State license as a Registe! red Professional Nurse required. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, regulatory codes, personnel and administrative policies required. Minimum of 2 years experience as a RN required. Experience in Cardiology required. Cardiac monitoring knowledge and arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred. I.V. certification required. Must possess competency in moderate sedation. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development through continuing education required. Must possess the ability to function as part of a team. Computer skills preferred. Cathlab experience preferred but will cross train.
BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations:
1. American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
2. American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
