Graham Windham, an award winning child welfare agency is seeking a qualified RN for our Bronx location.
Responsibilities:
Will provide quality community based medical care to the agency’s children including performing the various programmatic functions required to maintain a high level of medical and nursing services and quality control (i.e. review daily clinical logs, attend treatment team meetings, create and maintain an effective staffing plan, complete all reports and forms as required, review clients charts weekly, etc.) Notifies appropriate personnel of occurrences and shares information with staff as needed. Track all specialty referrals made.Request and secure medical copies of visits to outside facilities.Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task required. Facilitates other projects/staff as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience.
- Current BCLS/CPR Certification.
- Minimum of two years experience working with the pediatric population.
- Expertise in providing adolescent, pediatric and preventive health care services to high risk minority population and/or out-of-home children.
- The ability to work in a team format and the commitment to providing high quality health services.
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office Windows application is required.
- Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
- Must possess exceptional time management skills and detail oriented skills.
- Must possess excellent phlebotomy skills, especially with children.
