Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of Nursing Education.
Join a tight-knit team of critical care nurse educators led by a dynamic leader, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs for nursing and nursing support staff. These programs will cov! er all major critical care areas, such as CTICU, CCU, MICU and! SICU.
Conduct clinical rounds. Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach classes, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., online learning modules). Promote best clinical practices. Inspire award-winning nurses. Regularly evaluate staff competencies, and provide clinical mentorship and career guidance as needed.
Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school and have a master's degree in nursing or nursing education.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied. CCRN Certification
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS and ACLS Proven record of formal teaching success with a nursing service or nursing education institution or agency.
At least 3 to 5 years of current experience as a nurse practitioner or critical car! e nurse educator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
