Rochester General
Hospital
is dedicated to excellence in patient care and teaching. We provide a rich mixture of critical care, outpatient practice, and inpatient pulmonary consultation with ready access to other hospital-based specialists. Our physicians supervise the Mary Stuart Mulligan Rehabilitation Program for patients with symptomatic COPD, and the inpatient Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit for patients requiring long-term mechanical ventilation, both unique to the
Rochester
area. In addition to being part of a ! multi-specialty academic faculty with weekly teaching conferences, our physicians enjoy a collaborative relationship with midlevel providers and have opportunities for clinical research and
Medical
School
faculty appointments, as well as medical student and resident teaching.
Our technical expertise includes
bronchoscopy with lung biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage, thoracentesis, insertion of central venous catheters, management of mechnical ventilation, pleural biopsy, pulmonary function testing, and percutaneous lymph node aspiration.
