Residence Counselor is a member of the multi-disciplinary team who provides care for the resident/patient. The resident counselor pla! ys an important role in managing the resident/patient milieu and monitoring resident/patient activity. The resident counselor takes clinical direction form the medical and therapist staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Each Employee consistently demonstrates the following essential functions:
Patient/family conference.
Vital sign/medication monitoring.
Patient transportation.
Documentation.
Group/individual counseling.
Distribute nourishment/meal supervision.
Milieu management.
Patient assessment.
Patient care planning.
Case management.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate?s Degree in Human Services preferred.
Experience!
Experience in First Aid and CPR, or nurse?s aide experien! ce preferred.
Physical Demands
Standing/walking most work hours.
Frequent bending and stooping.
May be required to lift up to 35 lbs; lifting over 35 lbs. requires assistance of another employee or use of assistive device.
