Orchard Park Family Practice, a large Family Practice located in Orchard Park, NY, has a current job opportunity for a full-time Phone Triage Nurse (RN).
We are seeking ! an RN with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience to perform nursing triage service for patients over the phone. This individual will serve as the primary contact for medical care to phone-in patients. The Triage Nurse will be responsible for completing an accurate assessment of a patient’s needs, be able to identify symptoms and determine emergencies.
The ideal candidate will have superb customer service skills, empathy, patience and the ability to reassure and calm concerned callers. We seek an individual who possesses a broad knowledge of medical terminology and drug formularies, exhibits excellent verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work within a team.
Must hold a current New York State RN license and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience with Medent preferred.
