Description: Visiting Nurse Service of New York is currently interviewing Customer Service Representative right now, this job will be placed in New York. For complete informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Referral Services serves as a single point of contact for referrers and general inquiries regarding VNSNY. Its role is to assist referrers in identifying the t! ype of home care needed; receive initial referral information and pre-admit cases to the regions for service; answer questions regarding home care; and promote VNSNY programs and services. Referral Services is located at our mid-town Manhattan facility.

We are seeking talent for the opportunity described below. Determines customer needs and provides accurate and responsive intake to ensure customer satisfaction. Processes patient referrals received through various sources (hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, regional intake staff, ((Coordinators of Care (COCs), payors or other sources)) in a timely and accurate manner. Fully understands all affiliated patient processing workflows of least one referral origin (phone, fax, electronic, infusion) and performs intake related functions. Builds and maintains a positive relationship with referral sources. Provides general home care information to referrers and the community. Works under general direction. Ed! ucation: High school diploma or the equivalent required. Assoc! iate's degree in health care, business, or related field preferred.Experience: Minimum of two years customer service experience required, preferably in the health care setting. Basic knowledge of homecare, managed care, and Medicare/Medicaid payors, and medical terminology required. Ability to process, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks concurrently required. Effective oral/written communication and customer service skills required. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment required. Bilingual skills may be required as determined by operational needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as, data entry and typing skills at (35 wpm) required. Demonstrated ability to use software & network applications in multiple platforms and systems required.
