Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Manager that is licensed or in the immediate process, and q! ualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of Endoscopy/Outpatient/Pacu.
Under the supervision of the director, the department manager shares 24-hour accountability and additional responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the assigned department(s). All functions will be performed in accordance with the standards, practice acts, and licensure in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Leads in planning, directing, and implementing programs related to services line. Able to manage staff of 26 in busy environment (Usual 30-55 cases/day , both inpatient and outpatient).

Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school. BSN required, MSN preferred.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have! been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
Current BL! S card.
7 years Med-surg/critiical care experience required
5 years GI endoscopy/bronchoscopy nursing exp required
Management experience preferred
Membership in Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates stronly preferred.
Ceritification in Gastroenterology nursing is preferred.If without ceritification, must sit successfully for exam within one year.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates a! nd evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
Accepts accountability and responsibility for achievement of operational capital budget goals.
Shares 24-hour accountability and responsibility with the department director for the effective and efficient operation of the assigned nursing department.
