Adult Small Bowel Transplant NP; Physician Assistants also considered.
Evaluates and manages care of patients undergoing transplant and surgical procedures, including history taking and physical examination; ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing; and clinical management of patients pre-operatively and post-operatively. Coordinates discharge planning and outpatient care. Provides patient education; coordinates and conducts clinical and telephone follow-up of patients. Coordinates a variety of research protocols and projects. Participates in the collection and management of outcome data. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown Transplant Institute's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
Required Education/Training:
BSN from an accredited School of Nursing.
Successful ! completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
! State License in DC as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
Credentialed as a member of the professional staff.
CPR certification.
Required Experience:
Three years of nursing experience, inclusive of at least one year of directly related experience in transplant-related clinical specialty.
