Under the supervision of a Nursing Care Clinician, is responsible for patient care tasks and a variety of advanced paraprofessional and technical functions/skills including (but not limited to) phlebotomy, EKG, vitals signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing, which contribute to the health, safety and comfort needs of patients. Performs various environmental duties for the unit and performs all duties of a Nursing Attendant. This is a technical position with no supervis! ory responsibility. This is a days 7AM - 4PM position at NewYo! rk-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center. High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years Nursing Attendant experience in an acute care hospital setting required. Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant required. Training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant required.
