The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the management of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient outcomes. The nurse directs and g! uides the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing collaborating with other disciplines as appropriate.
Qualifications:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. 2. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. 3. BLS certified or obtained within 3 months of hire.; ACLS within 6 months. 4. Completion of Critical Care Course. 5. RN's with previous critical care experience are required to challenge Critical Care Course Final Exam. 6. Current CCRN certification fulfills requirement of challenging final exam. 7. Completion of TNCC and PALS for assigned ICU RN within two years. 8. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening. As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
