United Methodist Homes, Elizabeth Church Campus, Binghamton, NY is seeking a RN, Manager for the Dementia Unit.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing, and receiving direction from the Director of Nursing Services, the RN Unit Manager coordinates the plan of care for each resident on the unit, and ensures that each resident achieves optimal quality of care and quality of life
This management and leadership role requires a nurturing and experienced RN eager to work in a team environment, sharing their experience and passion for long term care.
Essential Duties Include:
Ensure completion of the interdisciplinary assessment, RAP process and care planning for each resident on the unit. Ensure timely and accurate completion of nursing department data collection, assessments and documentation. Receive daily report of the residents’ status and provide report to the oncoming Nursing Supervisor regarding any pertinent resident and staff issues. Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with inter-departmental personnel. Complete employee performance evaluations within required time frames Perform employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as required. Function as a Nursing Supervisor as required on the unit. A complete job description is available for your review upon request.
