Cost Estimate Manager


 

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Estimating Manage to join our team!

The Cost Estimating Manager will report directly to the Director of Contract Administrator & Commercial, who will be part of the XCS Leadership Team. The role will require establishing excellent working relationships with the Project Delivery commercial teams, as well as the leadership of the XCS Teams

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Play a leading role in supporting the project teams in monitoring and controlling the performance of contracted services to ensure services are effective, meet statutory requirements and deliver the desired outcomes.

  • Review, develop and manage systems and procedures for the monitoring of estimation across multiple work packages, and applied consistently across the Project Delivery Teams. Including specific analysis, forecast, value benchmarking costs of the program.

  • Monitor Project Delivery teams to ensure costs / rates are benchmarked, and continually evaluated and that our required reporting to the client is undertaken effectively.

  • Identify recurring / potential recurring claims across the Project Delivery Teams and offer support to mitigate.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across organizational lines to obtain and communicate business information necessary for Reporting purposes.

  • Coordinates with the Delivery Area Leadership Teams.

  • Assist in developing and implementing commercial estimating strategy.

  • Manage consistency of estimation.

  • Provide assurance and compliance of the program.

  • Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and procedures

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proven ability to manage a large group of senior technical personnel, the ability to drive excellence in field of expertise, focusing on safety, quality and improvement of processes, mentoring, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

  • Must also demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks.

  • Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific software.

  • Be capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management.

  • Ability to network across departments and key external stakeholders.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Preferably degree qualified (in related field, preferable Quantity Surveying / Cost Management) 15+ years of related work experience, including senior managerial experience of estimation, including managing of teams. Professional registration with active professional membership together with KSA experience is desired / preferred.
