If youre ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents. We are currently seeking an experienced LMC II (Organizational Development / Process Improvement) for our Labor Management Initiatives department.
Responsibilities
Support Labor Management Initiatives at the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds and provide organization development consulting on joint projects and initiatives to labor and management in various hospitals, nursing homes, and union
Achieve mutual goals by utilizing various intervention methods such as; facilitation, mediation, consultation, and process improvement; work with members, employers ! and union to collectively solve problems in their healthcare f! acility, creating a more satisfying and positive work environment and improving patient care
Partner with and effectively coach all levels of management, physicians, technical staff, union and members; assist in increasing opportunities for labor and management to solve problems and achieve common goals
Document progress and results of various projects through case studies, reports, and project management tools; provide updates to directors, employers, union, and senior sponsors
Develop curriculum and workshop presentations to expand the knowledge, skills and attitudes of clients
Track changes and innovations in the healthcare industry and professions; assess needs of new clients (union and management) and determine correct interventions
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Bachelors degree in Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Healthcare or equivalent years of experience required, Masters degree preferred; ! plus
Minimum five (5) years experience mediating and managing conflict, facilitating complex challenging teams and coaching leaders at various levels of an organization required; healthcare experience preferred
Experience facilitating process improvement methodologies (i.e. PDCA, Breakthrough, Work-Out; Lean; Six Sigma, etc) and project management; developing and delivering healthcare training and conducting evaluation activities
Demonstrated leadership skills in the education or training field; effectively able to influence, motivate and lead clients, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong skills in organizational relational dynamics specifically as it relates to labor and management relationships; ability to decipher issues, underlying concerns and assist in moving towards desired change
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good self awareness, recognizing impact on others and ability to manage boundaries
Ability t! o travel to various locations in the New York City and Upstate NY area !
Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
