We are seeking an exper! ienced Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry. Must have Masters Degree in Nursing and at least one (1) year recent experience as a Psychiatry NP in an acute care setting. ANCC board certification in Advanced Practice Family Psychiatric and Mental Health is highly preferred
Current New York State Registered Nurse License. Current New York State License required as Nurse Practitioner in area of practice. Masters Degree in Nursing or completed alternative certification requirements for graduates of nurse practitioner programs prior to April 1, 1989, BSN and/or MSN are preferred. National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry. Basic Life Support Certification required for all Nurse Practitioners who provide direct patient care.
Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the management of care for a specified group of patients in accordance with mutually agreed upon protocols within the policies and procedures established by the Department of Nursing, the Amer! ican Nurses Association and hospital.
