Join the leaders in healthcare as the Nurse Manager of the Cardiac Operating Room . The High-Tech Hybrid Cardiac Operating Room inc! ludes six new rooms equipped with the latest technological tools and a new post-anesthesia care unit.
Assuming 24 hour responsibility the Nurse Manager will be accountable for the planning and coordination of the delivery of nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. They will assist with developing priorities, goals and action plans while maintaining quality patient care in collaboration with other members of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team. They will select, orient, supervise and evaluate supervisors and clinical nurses while establishing standards of performance by maintaining an evaluation system for clinical personnel. Facilitates communication and problem solving for departments; leads or serves on committees; serves as a liaison between the medical staff and ancillary departments. Serves as a resource person; develops, interprets, supports and implements policies and procedures; responsible for planning, preparati! on, utilization, evaluation and monitoring of a budget and wil! l develop action plans for future improvements.
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree and certification preferred, current New York State RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications with the American Heart Association and at least three years of progressive leadership experience along with three years of perioperative services experience. The position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills with a strong focus on clinical and patient satisfaction. The successful candidate will be expected to perform effectively in stressful situations, use effective communication skills and have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions while acting as a leader in healthcare.
