Acute Care- Courtlandt Manor, NY The Nursing Application Analyst acts as primary liaison to following departments within the Hudson Valley Hospital Center: Nursing (including Critical Care, Emergency Services, Maternal-Child Health, Medical-Surgical and Surgical Services),Cancer Center, Medical Affairs, Nutritional Care and Respiratory Care. Collaborate with other departments and with all members of the Information Systems department, as necessary, in support of the Hospital and Clinical Information Systems (HCIS).
Provides support for activities associated with the planning, design, development, implementation, communication, maintenance and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to the HCIS. Performs activities related to the investigation, resolution and notification of issues escalated through Call Center tickets. Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, in the State of New York. Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years work experience in a health care institution of similar size and complexity or five (5) years equivalent work experience required.
Experience/ Job Qualifications: Hands-on knowledge of Nursing practices and/or clinical practices and principles required. Knowledgeable of new trends in clinical management and information systems, and be able to apply information technology for administrative, clinical, and/or physician services areas. Demonstrated analytical skills: analyze complex tasks/systems/problems, determine possible solutions, and design, implement and evaluate most effective solution. Hands-on participation in HCIS implementation cycle highly preferred (design team member, trainer, super user and/or end-user).
General understanding of desktop computing environment (PC?s, Printers, LANs) required. Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation applications, project management tools, email systems desired. Demonstrated ability to multitask, work under stress, accept responsibility, and exercise good judgment while maintaining flexibility and professional demeanor. Ability to learn quickly.
Self-starter with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members, vendors and all levels of management, departmental and medical staff. Ability to participate in occasional travel as necessary per project requirements. Salary: .
