Responsibilities - CUMC
The Clinical Nurse I is responsible for the direct provision of effective and comprehensive nursing care. Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse required. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum 1 year experience or more required. Pediatric Cardiac ICU Or PICU experience is strongly preferred. BCLS certification required for all nurses who provide direct patient care, excluding the NICU unless they float to general pediatrics. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer into the ED, Cardiac Cath Lab, CCU, 5 Garden North (Interventional Cardiology) and 5 Garden South (Cardiac Telemetry. Additional certifications may be required depending on unit as per Nursing By-Laws.
